OK, you can't just have a Part I so I recorded Part II. No real relation other than by name. The feel is completely different, almost like a boreal sky painting after a storm late in the afternoon. I was thinking more of Charles Ives' The Unanswered Question when I wrote this since the solo trumpet is somewhat reminiscent of Ives' not so famous hit. Sorry, but there are no flutes in this one, just those quietly sparkly bits in the background adding the mysterious quality of the whole piece.
